Technology is changing the way we view schools, teaching and learning. Unfortunately in the digital information age those who are unable to access the Internet at home are increasingly disadvantaged with their progression through education. This has been defined as the “digital divide”.

Te Aka Toitū was created to address the digital divide for the Eastern Bay of Plenty decile 1 and 2 school students and their families. We are enabling them to become 'Connected' and engaged in learning online any place any time and at their pace.
